The three colours of the 'Cuvée Fulcrand Cabanon'

Prior Fulcrand Cabanon (1594-1661) presented this Cuvée to the Court of King Louis XIV. The King appreciated it enough to give it a Royal 'Appellation Contrôlée'.

Three centuries later our wine-growers honour the Prior's name in these three fine wines.

This 'Clairette' wine is made from grapes from our older vineyards. Harvested when mature, it has the distinction of being the only 'Clairette' in the Languedoc to have grown on schistous soil. It has a light, transparent, golden colour and the fine and elegant bouquet offers hints of aniseed, fennel and grapefruit. It is a mature wine giving a subtle aftertaste of citrus fruits.
Serve chilled, at between 8° and 10° Celsius, either as an aperitif or with fish or goat's cheese (it is particularly good with the 'pélardon des Cévennes').

This rosé, made from a blend of carefully selected Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah grapes, has become one of the masterpieces of our range.
With the generous and well-balanced perfumes of fruits and flowers, this fleshy and full-bodied rosé can be stored for two to three years.
Ideal with savoury Mediterranean dishes it should be served at between 10° and 12° Celsius.

The Fulcrand Cabanon Red has the dense rich robe and the scarlet colour which distinguishes the Syrah grape. The bouquet is of blackcurrants and violets; the taste full, strong and fruity in the mouth. The tannin, giving a hint of wood, is silky and well integrated. The final, which leaves a long and pleasant hint of licorice, is very refreshing.
Serve this wine at between 14° and 16° Celsius with red meats, game or cheese.
